Is it truly possible to decide when all outcomes are equal?

And what approaches can be utilised in the process of decision-making?

I would like to research into the possibilities of decision-making when all outcomes are of equal value to the situation.

Is it necessary to impose criteria’s onto the process?

What criteria(s) should be imposed (a decision in itself), and should these be accepted?

If no criteria are available, do you pick one, many or all of the outcomes available?

 

Proposed methods

Initially the project will be purely research based to learn about the present thought in this area.

 

Possible outcomes of the project

A possible user focus interaction system to convey the results of the project.

A better personal understanding of how to make a decision in a world of multiple equal value choices.
